The Chartreux Cat Breed

The Chartreux Cat

« 1 of 4 »

Quiet as a…er…mouse, and silly as a goose, the Chartreux much prefers to eat and sleep with some fun short play sessions to break up the day. He loves being near his people and will follow you from room to room patiently waiting for attention. His favorite? A scratch under the chin or behind the ears will earn you a loud purr. Because the Chartreux is not a vocal cat it is important to pay attention to body language.

The Chartreux is fairly adaptable to all types of households. Very calm, he is quite content staying at home alone while you work. He will not object to another cat or cat-friendly dog as company. This cat is quite suited to the long-distance truck driver or the RV lovers. He travels very well.

The Chartreux is a happy kitty and will willingly obey any rules you set down. He is also unfailingly polite. Treated with kindness, love and patience he will be a devoted companion for life.
